Skafti: "How the hell have you managed to keep those three rascals out of each others' hair?"

Þorgils: "Well, somehow. Þorgeir's totally a handful, but Þormóður's a Christian and Grettir won't go out after dark for some reason."

(Reason is that after he killed that huge zombie that cursed him he's been seeing things after dark.)

(Btw Þorgeir and Þormóður are the main heroes of Fóstbræðra saga.)

Þóroddur: "So what about him killing Þorbjörn."

Skafti: "Problem is that Þorbjörn killed Atli first so he was sort of free game."

Snorri goði: "How about this. You won't have to pay for Atli if you agree to un-outlaw Grettir?"

Þóroddur: "Yeah ok."

Þórir: "WTF he burned my sons NO."

Grettir goes around taking stuff from people. Somehow people don't like this.

There's a guy called Vermundur. His wife's Þorbjörg, whose dad was some dude called Ólafur Peacock idk if you ever heard of the lad, he was that one Höskuldur's son.

Grettir decides to sleep out in the open, and the farmers that he stole things from see their chance at fighting him... you see where this is going?

Well, eventually they manage to tie him down. Then they spend a good while arguing who should now look after the bound Grettir but absolutely no one wants the responsibility. Guess you should think things through first before attacking Grettir.

So they decide to hang him on the spot instead.

Þorbjörg: "Actually no you won't, I'm not having any of that. Let him go instead."

Grettir: "Sweet -"

Þorbjörg: "I'm not having you fighting anyone either."

Grettir: "Aw."

Vermundur: "What have you done now woman."

Þorbjörg: "Noooothing, just stopped a bloody civil war from happening."

Vermundur: "...you have a point there. Anyway Grettir you need to piss off asap."

Grettir spends the winter at Þorsteinn's and he's still a lazy fuck so Þorsteinn kicks him out in the spring.

Grettir: "Hey rich looking dude there! What's your name?"

Hallmundur: "Er... you're Grettir I know that much. How about you call me Loftur."

Grettir: "Whatever. Give me your stuffs."

Hallmundur/Loftur: "What you gonna pay for them?"

Grettir: "Did I even mention that I was going to pay for them? FIGHT ME YOU -"

Hallmundur/Loftur: "Did you just try to ignore that I'm actually better equipped and stronger than you?"

Skafti: "For Bobsakes Grettir could you not."

Grettir builds himself a hut and starts to fish instead of robbing people. Some other outlaws decide they'd like to fight him.

...sigh.

Grímur (outlaw): "Hey can I come live with you?"

Grettir: "OMG YES PLEASE you have no idea how much I hate being here alone when it gets dark."

Grímur: "DIE"

Grettir: "Huh?"

Grettir: *chop*
