Gísla saga Súrssonar, part 4.

16.

Gísli: "Auður, stay up a bit I need to go out tonight."

He sneaks to Þorgrímur's house and in the dark he accidentally gropes his sister in the boob, but she thinks it was Þorgrímur instead, and that for some reason he had really cold hands. So Gísli spears Þorgrímur and escapes, and because the whole house just had a party everyone's still too drunk to do anything about it right away.

17.

Eventually they all go to Gísli's place but he's in bed like, lol I did nothing. Þorkell sees his shoes and that they're all covered in snow, and kicks them promptly under the bed. Then Gísli gets told the news of Þorgrímur's death and he's all "let me help with the burial" and people are a little bit suspicious because hm, that's a bit like what that Þorgrímur also said about Vésteinn and don't we all know who killed Vésteinn.

18.

Þorgrímur's grave doesn't freeze over. Frey liked him while he was alive, that's why.

Bork: "Hi I'm marrying Þórdís. She's already preg so it's quite a good deal."

There's some more ice hockey and Gísli's a bit out of breath so he sings a song about how he killed Þorgrímur. Somehow he manages to not realize his sister Þórdís is like, right there.

19.

Bork: "Now you tell me wtf you're brooding over."

Þórdís: "Oh - it's nothing, just that my brother killed your brother sry for waiting for about half a year without telling you."

Bork: "WAT"

Þórdís: "Yeah you could sue him. Or kill him. TBH I don't care either way."

Þorkell: "Gísli, just wanted to let you know they're going to sue you."

Gísli: "MY OWN SISTER WHHHYYYYYYYY WOULD SHE DO THIS I only killed one suitor of hers and one husband this is so unfair."

20.

Gísli runs into the woods with his slave Þórður.

Gísli: "Here Þórður, I'm really grateful to you for all you ever did for me so you can now have this cloak of mine that's bright blue and everyone knows I always wear it so they might even mistake you for me!"

Þórður: "Ooh thank you!"

Bork: *spear*

Þórður: "Argl."

Then Bork and his men wonder idly whether they should go after the other man as well but why, that's just a slave anyway. After a while of chattering they finally decide to check on the dead person and find out it wasn't Gísli after all and this greatly vexes everyone (except for Gísli). Some spears got thrown at Gísli during the chase but he catches them from midair or pulls them out of his legs and throws them back, killing a man with every throw.

Then he runs back home, grabs Auður his wife and Guðríður their adoptive daughter, sails to a fjord and hides there all winter.
